About Me

Josephine Rotolo is the Principal and Founder of Type J Coaching, Inc. Josephine coaches clients across the US and worldwide. Her mission is to help people unlock their potential to achieve the life they want both personally and professionally.

Both the career and the life coaching help people clarify where they are and where they want to go. Her career coaching addresses long-term career development as well as transitioning between jobs. Her life coaching focuses on how to find your purpose in life and how to lead a more fulfilling life.

Josephine offers customized corporate workshops. Most recently, she ran a program at Women’s Entertainment (the WE television network) on goal setting and decision making.

She is booked for speaking engagements on a variety of subjects that draw on her background in television and her career and life coaching expertise.

A regular speaker at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), she coaches students in the Advertising, Promotions and Communications department how to most effectively enter the media. She moderated a panel as part of a career boot camp for college students and recent grads organized by New York Times bestselling author, Tory Johnson.

Prior, she worked at Lifetime Television as the Director of Production for the Advertising & Promotions department. Before that, she worked at ABC Daytime’s All My Children. Josephine has also worked for a variety of small production companies that specialize in documentary and original programming.

A graduate of Syracuse University, she holds a dual major in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She was a member of the Honors Program, Golden Key National Honor Society, Women In Communications, Inc., Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a Syracuse Press club award recipient.

Josephine has a strong presence in the media industry through her participation in Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) formerly American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT), National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).

She received her coaching certification from New York University. Josephine is the Programming and Education chair for the Long Island Coaching Alliance chapter of the International Coaching Federation. She is a certified New York State Board of Education mentor.
